SAHARASTARDUST WRITES
If you’re here, then you’ve probably stumbled across my Reign Series on the self-publishing site called Wattpad.
Hi, welcome and I hope you’re not too mad that I spent my Saturday writing this instead of the next chapters of Desert Reigns (oops).
After 8 years of playing around with my overly-detailed descriptions of the sky and absurd plot twists, I felt like I was actually ready to let the world see what I conjured up with my average vocab and peculiar ideas. I never really considered becoming an author or a journalist or anything remotely related to writing, but writing has sort of always been in the background of my life.
I wrote my first book when I was about 10 years old on my dad’s laptop. It was about a cat and a mouse and I wish for the life of me that I could find that original draft because I remember how psyched I was to actually write my own story (if I ever find it, I am so publishing it lmao). The story itself was pretty simple– a story of a mischievous cat and his partner-in-crime mouse, but it paved the path for many other short stories that I would later write.
Writing is not just putting a bunch of words on a piece of paper or typing on your laptop– it’s an art, a mechanism to express your inner thoughts and to bring to life a realm of endless possibilities. They say that writing is like painting on a blank canvas, but I believe that it’s so much more than that. A white, blank canvas has a boundary and you can’t go over those boundaries– those borders, but with writing, you’re given a new dimension, a new life and a whole new world (you see what I did there, wink wink).
I chose the pen name (or rather username on wattpad) saharastardust, because stardust is quite significant, if one really analyses the meaning.
Stardust, according to the Cambridge Dictionary, is referred to as something that causes a pleasant, dream-like or romantic feeling.Another definition regards stardust as: a magical or charismatic quality or feeling. And that is truly the emotions that a writer should feel when the thoughts, swirling around in the depths of their imagination, come to life.
The Reign Series started off as a late night thought that eventually turned into a draft and now a self-published book. I’ve always had all these plots stuck in my head or a gazillion other books and always never actually made it past the first 3 chapters, because well… school. But here’s to turning seven chapters into thirty more.

Thanks for reading my work and I promise I’m going to actually write those chapters that you’ve been requesting since two months ago (blame it on final exams, really).
Love always,
